Davide Nicola Appointed as New Empoli Head Coach

Former Player and Manager Returns to Serie A

Davide Nicola has been appointed as the new head coach of Serie A club Empoli. The Italian manager, who was born on March 5, 1973, returns to the top flight of Italian football after a successful spell with Serie B side Bari.

Nicola is a former professional footballer who played as a defender. He began his playing career with Ancona in 1992 and went on to represent several other clubs, including Pescara, Ternana, and Torino.

After retiring from playing, Nicola moved into coaching. He began his managerial career with Lumezzane in 2010 and has since managed several clubs, including Bari, Crotone, and Genoa.

Nicola is known for his attacking style of play and his ability to motivate his players. He is also known for his strong character and his determination to succeed.

Empoli is currently 12th in the Serie A standings. Nicola will be tasked with leading the club to a mid-table finish or higher in the remaining matches of the season.
