2005-06 Season

J.J. Redick was a standout player for the 2005-06 Duke Blue Devils men's basketball team, led by legendary head coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Prior to his collegiate career, Redick had already showcased his skills on the international stage, being selected to the USA Under-21 World Championship Team in 2005, where he contributed to the team's victories over the eventual gold medalists.

In his first year at Duke, Redick quickly established himself as a prolific scorer, leading his team with 30 points in their triumph over NC State in the ACC Tournament championship game. Redick's impressive performances continued throughout the season, averaging 26.8 points per game and becoming the number 2 all-time scorer in the ACC with 2,769 points. He also holds the distinction of being 3rd all-time in 3-point field goals.

Redick's outstanding play at Duke earned him recognition beyond the college ranks. He was drafted in the first round, 11th overall, by the Orlando Magic in the 2006 NBA Draft.
